⁣The trial of God was a fictional trial which was presented in the form
of a play by Elie Wiesel. The trial was an attempt to make sense out of
the suffering of the Jewish people throughout history. It was set in a
small, fictional Eastern European village where a group of villagers
gathered to put God on trial.
